Sam was raised in Kona, Hawaii. She traveled for a few years before returning to Hawaii to complete her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Sam relocated to Bend in 2018 to enjoy all the activities that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Depending on the season, you may find her cross country skiing, foraging, camping, or paddle boarding.
