Lucy Wesson, Paralegal
Born and raised in Telluride, Colorado, Lucy grew up skiing, hiking, and exploring the outdoors. She recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Oregon with a B.A. in International Relations, specializing in Peace and Conflict Studies, and triple minors in Linguistics, Spanish, and Textile Arts. Maisen Daffron, Paralegal
Maisen S. Daffron was born and raised in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, where a deep love for music and history took root early. Weekly visits to the local public library became a ritual—he'd leave with stacks of books ranging from The Lord of the Rings to biographies of blues musicians who toured the Chitlin’ Circuit. Those late-night reading sessions as a kid and teen eventually led him to earn dual B.A. degrees in History and Philosophy from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2018.
While at university, Maisen immersed himself in research, writing on topics as diverse as Bebop Jazz, the Beat Generation, Surrealism, and Mississippi’s Womyn’s Land movement. After graduation, he spent several years traveling the country, gaining a broader perspective before settling in Austin, Texas, in 2020. There, he worked as a Research Analyst at a Geographic Information Systems company and dove headfirst into the city’s vibrant music and film scenes—rarely missing a show on the weekends.
In 2025, Maisen made the move to Bend, Oregon, bringing with him not only a strong background in research and analysis but also a deep sense of compassion and curiosity. At Two Spruce Law, he combines these strengths to support others and help foster meaningful community connections.
A self-described melomaniac and bibliophile, Maisen spends his free time immersed in art and culture. You’ll likely find him browsing a local bookstore, reading in a cozy café, or catching a film at the Tin Pan Theater. He’s also excited to explore Bend’s brewery scene and is looking forward to connecting with the local community.
Sarah Mayes, Paralegal
Sarah R. Mayes comes to Two Spruce Law from an eclectic background including a career as a licensed massage therapist and many years in the restaurant industry. Her long-term goal is to become involved in environmental and tribal law. She is passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration and equitable climate solutions. She is committed to life-long learning and brings her genuine compassion for people into her work at Two Spruce Law.
Sarah grew up in Corvallis, Oregon, where she learned to love music, dogs, and the outdoors. She has lived in Bend since 2018 and never gets tired of seeing gorgeous mountaintops in the distance. When she has free time, she can be found adventuring with her (almost) husband and their lab-coonhound mix, Skeeter, or spending time with her niece and nephew in Corvallis. She also enjoys whitewater rafting, skiing, reading, and cooking Indian food.
Kerry Duncan, Bookkeeper
Kerry Duncan, a proud Bend, OR native, graduated from Mountain View Senior High School and embarked on a journey that would lead her to become an integral part of her community. After spending 3 ½ years in Oak Harbor, WA, where she attended Skagit Valley Community College, Kerry returned to Bend and continued building her career in Retail Management. In 2002, she took a bold step and purchased her own business, which she successfully owned and operated for over 20 years.
In June 2016, Kerry joined Two Spruce Law (formerly Heatherman Law) as a Secretary, eventually transitioning into a key role focused on Accounts Payable and Bookkeeping. She continues to support the office in a variety of capacities, bringing a well-rounded skill set to the team.
Kerry is deeply passionate about her Central Oregon community, where she actively engages with business groups and student-athlete programs. She has contributed to the design of student letterman jackets and served as an assistant coach for local grade school and Jr. High School Volleyball teams. Above all, Kerry’s greatest joy comes from being a mom to her adult daughter.
When she’s not working, you can find Kerry enjoying the outdoors—whether she’s behind the wheel of her Jeep, playing volleyball, paddleboarding, or running. She’s often seen with a coffee or Hydroflask in hand, embracing the beauty of nature. Kerry thrives in a team environment that values honesty, integrity, and hard work. She approaches each challenge with a positive attitude and a good sense of humor, always striving for success with a smile.
