Patricia Louise Nelson, Attorney and Owner

Patricia Louise Nelson (formerly Patricia L. Heatherman) founded her solo law practice in October, 2006.
Before that, she was with the Merrill O’Sullivan, LLP law firm for nearly 12 years, including 7 years as a partner in that firm.

Before moving to Bend, Oregon, in 1995, Patricia graduated from Willamette University College of Law magna cum laude in 1993.  She then clerked for the Honorable Judge Edward Leavy of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in Portland, Oregon.  Since graduating from law school she has served as a board member and the president of Oregon Women Lawyers, a founding board member and president of Oregon Women Lawyers Foundation, a board member and the president of Growing Tree Children Center, a founding member of Cascade Women Lawyers, president of the Deschutes County Bar Association, as a board member and president of ConnectW (formerly the Network of Entrepreneurial Women), a board member of the Spiritual Awareness Community of the Cascades.  She is a graduate of Leadership Bend.

In the spring of 2014, she completed a ministerial training course and was ordained as a Minister of Walking Prayer.  In 2015 she completed a course to be certified to teach Radical Collaboration. She brings her spiritual walk actively into her law practice.

Blake A. Robinson, Attorney

Blake comes to Bend, Oregon from the rolling Flint Hills of Kansas where he practiced as the principal partner of Robinson & Adam Law, a general practice firm focusing on complex criminal defense and personal injury.  Graduating from Kansas State University in 2006 he went on to study at Washburn School of Law in Topeka, Kansas, graduating in 2010. Blake also has extensive experience in the realms of family law, guardian/conservatorships, mental health law, Child in Need of Care, and contract litigation. Now offering estate planning and probate representation in Central Oregon, Blake brings a passion for helping clients sort through the uncomfortable, opaque process of establishing their estate plan and protecting their assets - through vigorous litigation if necessary.

Blake enjoys all the outdoor activities on offer in Central Oregon including fishing, biking, and snow skiing. He loves to travel with his wife and likes to cook but with varying success. Some have called him a skilled potter and maker of ceramics.  Blake prefers a dry red wine and a bitter IPA. Blake wonders if anyone in Oregon knows how to smoke a proper brisket.

Katya Sierra, Paralegal

Katya J. Sierra grew up in the small town of Guerneville, CA, where she developed a love for nature, especially under the beautiful redwoods. She later moved to continue her education at UC Berkeley, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in American Studies with an emphasis on Race and Law. During her time there, she was an active member of the university's legal club, participating in law admissions presentations and executive committee meetings. While pursuing her studies, Katya also interned at a law firm, gaining experience in various areas of law, with a primary focus on probate and estate planning, which sparked her strong interest in this field.

Katya has traveled to Bend, Oregon, for several winters and summers, engaging in activities such as skiing, paddleboarding, hiking, and enjoying the great outdoors. She fell in love with Bend's incredible location and was determined to relocate there after graduation to further her experience in the legal field. Then will continue her education by planning to attend law school to become an attorney.

Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Katya loves exploring and adventuring through travel. She also enjoys cooking, baking, and experimenting with new recipes. To stay grounded, she practices mindfulness through yoga and meditation.

Lucy Wesson, Paralegal

Born and raised in Telluride, Colorado, Lucy grew up skiing, hiking, and exploring the outdoors. She recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Oregon with a B.A. in International Relations, specializing in Peace and Conflict Studies, and triple minors in Linguistics, Spanish, and Textile Arts. Her academic journey took her abroad, where she spent seven months in Rwanda and Croatia researching international law, women’s rights, and grassroots peacebuilding organizations.

Lucy worked in the nonprofit sector as a grant writer and development coordinator for an international nonprofit dedicated to supporting women’s initiatives in Senegal. She also served as a legislative intern with the Oregon Student Association, where she advocated for student rights and gained valuable insights into statewide policy and lawmaking.

At Two Spruce Law, Lucy brings a strong analytical mindset and a passion for justice to her role as a paralegal. Outside of work, Lucy continues her love for adventure, whether traveling to new destinations or hiking the local trails. On quieter days, she enjoys cooking and weaving on her floor-loom.

Kimberly graduated from Walden University in 2017 with her Doctorate in Business Administration. She started her career as a Human Resource Manager with Target Stores, and has worked in Human Resources for more than 30 years in various industries, most recently in healthcare at Partners In Care in Bend, Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital in Yakima WA and Snoqualmie Valley Healthcare, in Snoqualmie, WA. In her HR roles, Kimberly’s favorite part has been solving problems and helping people.

Kimberly was born in Oklahoma, while her dad was attending Oklahoma State University.  Her dad was on Officer and Test Pilot in the US Air Force and moved to 10 different states before she was 18. She found herself in the Pacific Northwest after graduating from her undergrad studies at Colorado State University.  Kimberly has been married to Patrick for nearly 35 years and for most of that time lived in Duvall, WA with their only daughter, Ellen.  Kimberly and Patrick moved to Bend, OR in 2021 from Yakima, WA.
